Tom Povedano

Tom comes to Robin Glen from the world of business leadership.  He is responsible for our day-to-day operations. Tom’s quarter-century of experience brings an advanced understanding of operational best practices, both strategic and tactical, and considerable expertise in adapting these to the varying needs of a wide range of established and new organizations.

 

Tom holds a B.A. degree from James Madison University and an MBA from the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business.

 

In his free time Tom enjoys running, cooking, and traveling.  Tom and his wife Laura are recent empty nesters and enjoy spending time with their 2 dogs with occasional visits from their two daughters.

What is your planning super power?

As an operator, I seek to understand all variables in a Client’s situation and ensure that the planning doesn’t solve one problem but creates two more.

Who is your hero?

Diplomats that try to solve big, world problems by getting people to work together.

What is the best piece of advice you ever received?

Nelson Mandela, a man with every reason to hold on to unforgiveness against his captors said, ‘As I walked out the door toward the gate that led to my freedom, I knew if I didn’t leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I’d still be in prison.’
