What is your planning super power?
My planning superpower is the ability to communicate the complexities of comprehensive planning using client relatable analogies rather than the typical planner/legal language.
Who is your hero?
My mother! She somehow single handedly raised my brother and me (hard-headed teenage boys!). She has always been fiercely independent, caring and capable, and at 85 is a legendary volunteer in her community in Sacramento.
What is the best piece of advice you ever received?
I’m very fortunate to have received several lifetimes worth of priceless advice from mentors, coaches and loved ones. But the greatest came from my Uncle Richard a few years before he passed away: “Don’t avoid the potential to fail in life. Failure is one of the most motivating aspects of life, and avoiding it nearly always prevents success. Instead, seek opportunities to fail and you will have a life well lived!”
